Model Construction |
EDD works with clients to transfer their existing system data into the DEW model. The typical setup includes customizing the the parts database to specific client specifications, transferring available model or GIS datasets into DEW, and verifying the resultant DEW model. |
DEW Installation & Support |
EDD provides onsite installation services to setup DEW to run in the local customer environment. Service includes establishing all client/server links, database connections, and consultation support during customer model builds and setup. |
Data Cleanup & Correlation |
EDD enables customer to create connected models from graphical systems where connectivity does not exist, cleaning up data problems, and creating DEW model that correlates with models from Integraph, Smallworld, ESRI, Microstation, and other GIS/CAD systems. |
Data Interface Connections |
EDD establishes interfaces between DEW and various customer data sources, such as SCADA, historical weather data, forecast weather data, real-time lightning data, historical customer measurements (kWH, kW/kVar), outage calls, and customer rate data. EDD also creates custom interfaces for new types of data to be attached to customer model. |
Real Time Module Setup |
EDD coordinates existing applications with customer's installation to provide real-time control for distribution systems, which can detect measurement and control failures in the field and unknown sectionalizing device operations. DEW can also be setup to use distributed processing, enabling rapid solutions for large scale flow and reliability problems. |
Statistical & Reliability Analysis |
EDD offers statistical analysis services to group customers into classes based on similar load characteristics. Five statistical parameters are calculated as a function of customer class, type of day, type of month, and prevailing weather conditions. Storm models created to predict outages as a function of storm type can be incorporated in real-time operations to improve storm response. |
Custom Software Development |
EDD utilizes a Generic Programming approach that facilitates custom software development.
