Tool Bar

The Tool bar consists of a row of buttons just beneath the main menu, giving one click access to commonly used commands and sub-menu items.

 Creates a new system.  (Menu Equivalent: File / New System)

 Opens an existing system.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Open System)

Reads a system from file.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Read System from File)

 Saves the active system to the database.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Save System)

Saves the active system to a disk file.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Save System to File)

 Prints part of the active system.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Print > Coordinates)

 Prints drawing window and/or plots.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Print > Windows)

 Copies the marked area (via left mouse drag) to the clipboard.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Copy to Clipboard)

 Deletes the highlighted component or circuit or substation from the network.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Delete)  See Warning!

 Zooms up by amount specified in options box.  (Menu Equivalent: Zoom Up)

 Zooms down by amount specified in options box.  (Menu Equivalent: Zoom Down)

 Undo the last zoom.

 Zooms either to fit marked area (via left mouse drag) or (if unmarked) to fit entire system in the drawing window.  

 Pans to a component or geographic location in the active system.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Go To)

 Runs the selected analyses.  (See Running DEW Applications)

 Displays the analysis results.  (See Running DEW Applications / Displaying Results)

Reviews analysis variables.

Toggles drawing view to color code components based on defined value ranges of selected application's result.

 Displays the analysis plot.

 Opens the Review Messages utility, which allows the user to view all component messages.   

 Displays the Schematic Control Center.

Displays blowup of substation to reveal internal components.

Displays EDD Circuit Tool Control Center.

Displays Optional Customer-Specific Tool Control Center
