Tool Bar

The Tool bar consists of a row of buttons just beneath the main menu, giving one click access to commonly used commands and sub-menu items.

image\OLD_0002_wmf.gif  Opens an existing system.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Open System)

image\OLD_0003_wmf.gif Reads a system from file.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Read System from File)

image\OLD_0004_wmf.gif  Saves the active system to the database.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Save System)

image\OLD_0005_wmf.gif Saves the active system to a disk file.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Save System to File)

image\OLD_0006_wmf.gif  Prints part of the active system.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Print > Coordinates)

image\OLD_0007_wmf.gif  Prints drawing window and/or plots.  (Menu Equivalent: File / Print > Windows)

image\OLD_0010_wmf.gif  Copies the marked area (via left mouse drag) to the clipboard.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Copy to Clipboard)

image\OLD_0011_wmf.gif  Deletes the highlighted component or circuit or substation from the network.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Delete)  See Warning!

Warning!

If selected component is a "Start of Circuit" or network source (i.e. Substation, Tank, etc) then ALL components in the circuit supplied by source will be deleted.

image\OLD_0013_wmf.gif  Zooms down by amount specified in options box.  (Menu Equivalent: Zoom Down)

image\OLD_0014_wmf.gif  Undo the last zoom.

image\OLD_0015_wmf.gif  Zooms either to fit marked area (via left mouse drag) or (if unmarked) to fit entire system in the drawing window.  

image\OLD_0016_wmf.gif  Pans to a component or geographic location in the active system.  (Menu Equivalent: Edit / Go To)

image\OLD_0017_wmf.gif  Runs the selected analyses.  (See Running DEW Applications)

image\OLD_0018_wmf.gif  Displays the analysis results.  (See Running DEW Applications / Displaying Results)

image\OLD_0019_wmf.gif Reviews analysis variables.

image\OLD_0020_wmf.gif Toggles drawing view to color code components based on defined value ranges of selected application's result.

image\OLD_0022_wmf.gif  Opens the Review Messages utility, which allows the user to view all component messages.
