The Turns Ratio Tool allows user to set the Turns Ratio to calculate Customer Level Voltage based on the primary kV.
Nominal kV Settings Review:
Interactive Panning to Substations - select to have drawing pan to the applicable substation.
SubID
- indicates local
name of applicable substation.
[Next Sub] - when applicable, toggles dialog/display to the next substation.
[Prev
Sub] - when applicable, toggles dialog/display to the previous
substation.
Calculated
Sub kV [__] - indicates system calculated (nominal) voltage for
substation.
Manually Set Nominal kV - when selected, allows user to manually input the nominal substation voltage.
Set Nominal
kV [__] - when applicable, user inputs manual setting for nominal
substation voltage.
Customer Level Voltages - user selects the customer voltage desired in the list box.
User
Notification After Update - generates informational dialog after
execution of Run
command, indicating Turns Ratio for applicable selection was updated for
the selected voltage.
If unselected, update (from Run) occurs without notice and user then
returns to the open (Turns Ratio) dialog.
Selected Component - sets turn ratio based on defined customer level voltage for component, which is selected during run.
Selected Circuit - sets turn ratio based on defined customer level voltage for circuit, which is selected during run.
Entire System - sets turn ratio based on defined customer level voltage for entire system.
[Run] - executes run of the Turns Ratio tool, based on applicable settings. If running for selected component or circuit, the run initializes with the Pick operation, i.e. mouse pointer finger, to enable user selection.
The Turns Ratio Error dialog (shown below) results when the Turns Ratio tool is unable to achieve the specified customer level voltage with a turns ratio currently defined in the database.

The dialog provides the user with the turns ratio value that needs to be added to the database table to achieve the specified customer level voltage under given conditions.
