RePhase Tool

The RePhase Tool allows the user to define phase transformations for a lateral run, beginning at the user-selected component.

Notes!

  • Phase changes propagate from starting component through entire forward trace, or until encountering a brother component, which does not get phase moves.

  • If single phase branches split from a 3-phase trunk that is experiencing phase moves, then the single phase lines will be re-phased according to correlating trunk phase repositioning.

  • The RePhase Tool cannot be used to change the number of phases on a conductor, i.e. from 3-phase to 1-phase, etc. These types of changes must be done using the Reconstruction Tool or through the individual component dialogs.

Starting component for rephase  - user executes the [Pick] operation to select the starting component, which is then indicated by local name in the display field.

Change Phase - user selects phase transformations being implemented, using the "To" column drop-down to identify the new phase definition corresponding to the phase formerly defined by "From" column.

[OK] - executes the defined phase updates and exits the RePhase dialog.

[Cancel] - exits the Rephase dialog, without implementing any changes.

[Help] - opens the applicable help topic.

The following illustration shows the effects of a rephasing operation, with the "Merriman" line picked as starting component.  The drawing has been annotated to show Before=>After phase transformations for the run, which resulted from the previous Rephase setup.
