The Reconstruction Tool enables the user to redefine conductor component configuration down a lateral or within a defined section. It may also be used to reset distribution transformers to match operating voltage and tap connection.

Reset Distribution Transformers to Match Operating Voltage and Tap Connection - select to include distribution transformers in reconstruction operation, updating transformer to match operating voltage and tap connection.
Reconstruction to End of Lateral - select to replace the conductors from the selected component to the end of the lateral with the user-defined replacement configuration.
|
Notes! |
With Reconstruction to End of Lateral, update includes ALL branches in forward path from selected component to end of lateral in the change to defined replacement configuration. With Pick End Component, reconstruction is only applied to direct path between the two selected components, i.e. branches are not included in the update. |
Pick End Component for Reconstruction - select to replace the in-line conductors between the selected First and Last Conductors (inclusively) with the user-defined replacement configuration.
First Conductor [Pick] - executing the pick operation activates mouse (pointer-finger) to select the starting component for conductor change, which is then indicated (i.e. by local name) in the display field.
Last Conductor [Pick] - when applicable, executing the pick operation activates mouse (pointer-finger) to select the ending component for conductor change, which is then indicated (i.e. by local name) in the display field.
No Updates of Conductor Spans - runs reconstruction tool for distribution transformer updates only, removing conductor/configuration fields from the dialog.
Set Configuration, Phase, and Neutral Same as First Picked Conductor - defines reconstruction settings to change effected downstream components to match the selected starting conductor.
[Open Dialog] - opens component dialog for the selected starting component, allowing user to update before initiating reconstruction. Note: command is active only after First Conductor has been picked and reconstruction setting is for ...Same as First Picked...
Reset Downstream Components to: defines reconstruction settings to change starting and effected downstream components to the defined conductor/configuration settings, based on drop-down selection from available types.
Configuration - user selects (from Name field drop-down) the new conductor configuration, from those available for defined conductor type. Corresponding Description is displayed above drop-down selection.
Phase Conductor - user selects (from Name field drop-down) the new phase conductor, from those available for defined configuration/type. Corresponding Description is displayed above drop-down selection.
Neutral Conductor - user selects (from Name field drop-down) the new neutral conductor, from those available for defined configuration/type. Corresponding Description is displayed above drop-down selection.
[Create Report Showing Reconstruction Effects with these Selections] - generates a text report summarizing pending conductor reconstruction, allowing user to review effects before executing the update. See sample "Before Reconstruction" report.
[Execute Reconstruction] - executes the defined reconstruction updates, generating and opening the "After Reconstruction" report.
[Cancel] - exits the Reconstruction Tool dialog. Note: Once Reconstruction command has been executed, updates are implemented. If dialog is exited before execution, then no changes will occur.
[Help] - opens applicable help topic.
