The Reconductor
tool allows the user to define conductor wire changes for a lateral or
identified section, beginning at the user-selected component.
Note: Only Phase/Neutral wiring
changes for the applicable conductor type are effected by reconductoring.
If defined run changes types (i.e. Overhead Line
to Cable, etc), then conductor updates are only implemented on sections
of run common to the first part-type selected. To
change construction types, the Reconstruction
Tool must be used.
First Line/Cable to Reconductor - user executes the [Pick] operation to select the starting component for conductor change, which is then indicated (i.e. by local name) in the display field.
Reconductor to End of Lateral - defined conductor changes will be propagated from starting component through to the end of the containing lateral, including branches.
|
Notes! |
With Reconductor to End of Lateral, update includes ALL branches in forward path from selected component to end of lateral in the conductor changes. With Pick End Component, reconductoring is only applied to direct path between the two selected components, i.e. branches are not included in the update. |
Pick End Component for Reconductoring - select to replace the in-line conductors between the selected First and Last Conductors (inclusively) with the user-defined replacements for Phase and Neutral wiring.
Last Line/Cable
to Reconductor - when applicable, executing the pick operation
activates mouse (pointer-finger) to select the ending component for conductor
change, which is then indicated (i.e. by local name) in the display field.
Phase Wire
- user selects (from Name
field drop-down) the new conductor planned for phase wire, with corresponding
displayed Description.
Neutral Wire
- user selects (from Name
field drop-down) the new conductor planned for neutral wire, with corresponding
displayed Description.
[OK] - executes the defined conductor updates and exits Reconductor dialog.
[Cancel] - exits the Reconductor dialog, without implementing any changes.
[Help] - opens the applicable help topic.
