The Multipoint Lines & Cables tool allows the user to break existing multipoint runs into individual segments, or combine existing segments into multipoint runs.
This utility, initialized from the Tools menu or Circuit Tools dialog, begins by opening the Multipoint Lines & Cables Setup dialog.
BREAK Selected Multipoint Line or Cable - sets utility to run in the Break Multipoint mode, breaking selected multipoint runs (based on Operational Options setting) into component segments.
CREATE Multipoint Lines & Cables - sets utility to run in the Create Multipoint mode, creating multipoint runs from existing segments in selected system or circuit (based on Operational Options setting and defined Setup Options).
Operational Options -
Entire System - executes selected (Create or Break) operation on all applicable runs in the entire active system.
Selected Circuit - executes selected (Create or Break) operation on all applicable runs in the selected circuit.
Selected
Component - executes Break operation only on the selected multipoint
component. Note: this option is not valid (and
thus unavailable) for Create operations.
User
Notification After Update - when selected, actions performed during
execution of the (Break or Create) operation are summarized in an informational
dialog. See Example.

[Setup Options] - opens the (following) Multipoint Lines & Cables Options dialog, which enables user to define additional settings and constraints governing selected operation.
Combine when Length LESS THAN [__] Feet - when selected, the operation will combine applicable segments to attain the minimum length defined in input field.
Limit MAXIMUM Length @ [__] (1000 Feet) - when selected, the operation will limit resulting component lengths to the maximum length defined by user.
Limit MAXIMUM Loading @ [__] kW - when selected, the operation will not create runs where component loading will exceed the maximum (kW) limit defined by user.
Limit MAXIMUM # Loads @ [__] - when selected, the operation will not create runs where the number of attached loads on a resulting component will exceed the maximum limit defined by user.
Check that Neutral Conductors also MATCH - when selected, the operation will only combine segments where neutral conductors are of the same definition.
