
The File drop-down menu contains the following selections:
New System - creates new active system, either blank or copied from another open system. Play DEW Basics example
Open System from Database - selects system to open from those saved in current database and not already open.
Close System - closes active system, with option to save.
Delete System - deletes active system from the current database and removes from memory.
Save System to Database - saves active system to the current database.
Save All to Database - saves all opened systems to the current database.
Read System from File - loads active system from DEW formatted text file (*.DEW).
Save System to File - saves active system to a DEW formatted text file (*.DEW).
Merge System from File - merges selected circuits from a designated file into the active system.
Read Geographical Text - when available, reads geographical text from database tables for active system.
Page Setup - defines print orientation, paper size, margins, etc.
Print Coordinates - prints active system, with output defined by (x,y) coordinates range entry.
Print Windows - prints active system, with output defined by displayed window.
Import Data - opens the Import dialog, which allows import of ascii data files generated by user into the applicable database table.
Exit - closes all open systems and DEW application
