Find Components Dialog

Selecting the Find item from the Edit menu opens the dialog below, which allows the user to search the drawing view to locate a specific component.
  
Note
: The Find operation only searches those circuits/feeders currently being displayed in the active drawing window, i.e. it will not find components in feeders hidden in the current drawing view.

 

Search Criteria:

Search Type:

[__] (search criteria) - defines search string for the Find operation.
 

[Circuit] - enables user to select (via mouse pointer finger) a specific circuit from the active drawing window for the Find application.
 

[System] - initiates the Find application on the entire (active) system, except for any hidden feeders, i.e. those with the Display Circuit setting Off.
  

[Open Dialog] - enables user to directly open the component dialog for item selected in the Results Window.  

 

Results Window: after search, the number of matching components found are given above the displayed results.  

Local Name - column displays in window, listing Local Name of matching results returned from search.

Feeder - column displays in window, listing Feeder (Circuit) for results shown.

 

[Advanced Opts] - opens the Advanced (Find) Options dialog, enabling user to specify additional filtering for the Find operation.  

 

[Exit] - exits Find dialog/application.
 

[__] Zoom - enables user to control the Zoom level, i.e. Up [++] or Down [--], of the drawing window during the Find interaction.
 

[Report] - opens Report Options dialog, allowing user to set report format/content and generate summary report.

 

[OF] - opens the On / Off Display Control dialog, allowing user to batch control display settings of selected properties for (all-inclusive) search results.

 

[Open StrNams DLG] - opens the Structure Names dialog, allowing user to view, define, or change structure names associated with From/To nodes of selected component.
