Copy and Add Components Dialog

Selecting the Copy and Add item from the Edit menu opens the dialog below, which allows the user to copy an existing component, section, or circuit and add it to a new location.    

 

Options:

Components Selections:

Start Component Pick Options - defines selection mode for the Copy operation. User may specify as:

Starting Component Selection - window displays Local Name (if defined) of starting component selected for the Copy operation.

[Pick Starting Component] - launches mouse pointer finger, enabling user to select the starting component for the copy operation.  Note: If Substation or Start of Circuit is selected as the starting component, then user must either confirm that entire circuit(s) will be copied for selection to be accepted.
 

Ending Component Selection - window displays Local Name (if defined) of ending component selected for the Copy operation.

[Pick Ending Component] - launches mouse pointer finger, enabling user to select the ending component for the copy operation.  Note: Not applicable when copying Single Component or entire Branch.
 

Selection of Component to Add @ - window displays Local Name (if defined) of component selected for the Add-To operation.

[Pick Add @ Component] - launches mouse pointer finger, enabling user to select the component, [or (x,y) location for substation copies], where the Add-To operation will be performed.  Note: For entire Circuit copies, the selected component must be a substation (or source).
 

 

[Add Components] - command directs application to execute the Copy & Add operation, as currently setup.  Note: This command button is only active after setup has been completed, and must be selected to perform the operation.  

 

[__] Zoom Factor - enables user to control the Zoom level, i.e. In [++] or Out [--], of the drawing window during the Copy & Add interaction.
