Selecting the Add Long Line item from the Edit menu opens a dialog allowing user to convert a newly added (or existing) line to an extended length or muliti-point (i.e. irregular-shaped) line segment.
Selected Conductor to Extend:
Window displays the line
or cable Local Name
that has been selected for extension, using the [Pick] command to activate mouse
selection via mouse pointer-finger. The
user left-clicks on the Line or Cable to be extended and is returned to
the dialog.
Upon returning to the dialog, the user can:
Re-issue [Pick] command to change selection,
Choose [Add] command to construct the extended conductor run, utilizing the defined option settings.

After initiating the Add command, the selected run remains in construction mode until the user indicates completion by typing the ESCAPE (Esc) key on the keyboard. |
Choose [Cancel] command to exit dialog.

Option Settings:
Create a Multi-Point Conductor After Add Finished - when selected, the run is constructed as a Multi-Point line, with intermediate (interior) vertices corresponding to each construction mouse-click. Otherwise (i.e. when Unselected), each construction mouse-click is built as a unique (two-point) line segment.
Track and Draw Extension Line to Mouse - when selected, the target vertex/endpoint location is shown connected to the origin vertex/endpoint by a trace (highlight) connector on the drawing. Otherwise (i.e. when Unselected), the target vertex/endpoint location is illustrated by the floating target pointer.
