This dialog is opened by selecting the Setup
for Plotting item from the Analysis
menu or by selecting the Plot button (
) on the tool bar.

Applications
- list box display of all installed DEW applications, where user selects
desired application to view the associated variables that are available
for plotting.
Variables
- list box display of available variables for selected application, where
user selects (i.e. highlights) variables for defined plot setup.
Phase(s) to Plot
- when applicable, identifies the phases (i.e. A,
B,
C)
of results that will be plotted.
Plot Type - defines plot type desired.
Time - plots identified output variables versus time, typically used only when analysis is being run for multiple time points.
Distance - plots identified output variables versus associated component's distance from substation.
[Plot
Options] - opens the Plotting
Setup Options
dialog, allowing user to set general plot color scheme, line thickness,
etc.
[Parameters] - opens the Plot Parameters
dialog, allowing user to define formats for plot titles, labels, etc.
[Pick Cmp] - launches the component selection process (via mouse pointer-finger), which defines reference component for plot.
For Time plots, output variable result at the reference component is plotted versus time over the selected time points for analysis.
For Distance plots, the output variable result is plotted versus (radial) distance from the supplying source (i.e. substation) to the endpoint of reference component.
[Plot] - executes the plot routine with defined setup and opens the DEW Plot window. See Plot Output for more details and sample output.
