Selecting the Spot Load command from the Line or Cable component dialog opens the respective Spot Load dialog, which allows the user to specify the kW and/or kVA loads for each phase. Note: Spot loads are not time dependant.
Loads Based on
kVA and Power Factor - allows user to specify a known kVA
Load and Power

Loads] for Real
Power and Reactive
Power (based on the specified values), with results being displayed
Changes - provides input area for changes to total spot loads.
Real Power - defines the kilowatt spot load change for an update to total.
Reactive Power - defines the kiloVAR spot load change for an update.
Phase - defines phase for applied load changes of an update. Note: for 3-phase (ABC) update, input loading change is divided equally across all phases. For a single phase update, input loading change is applied only to the selected phase.
[Add] - adds defined changes to any existing values in the applicable Total fields.
[Subtract] - subtracts defined changes from any existing values in the applicable Total fields.
All] - deletes all existing values in the Total
loading fields, resetting applied spot loading to zero for all phases.
Total - indicates the total amount of spot load on the component.
kW - indicates the total amount of real power attached to each phase of the component.
kVAR - indicates the total amount of reactive power attached to each phase of the component.
Connect L to L - connects as a Line to Line load, instead of Line to Ground.
evenly spaced Lds - during analysis, models the applicable (Line or Cable) segment
as [input] number of
sections with defined spot loading equally divided among all sections.
Load Types -
OverRide Load Types - selected spot load will override the general Power Flow / Load Modeling Option type set for the application run.
Constant PQ - defines that selected spot load be modeled as Constant P and Q, independent of Power Flow application setting.
Constant I - defines that selected spot load be modeled as Constant Current, independent of Power Flow application setting.
Z - defines that selected spot load be modeled as Constant
Impedance (i.e. Voltage Dependent Current), independent of Power Flow application setting.

[OK] - accepts changes to spot loading and exits Spot Load dialog.
[Cancel] - exits Spot Load dialog without accepting any changes.
