Messages

(Return to General Submenu Dialogs)

Messages are attached to components to provide information resulting from applications. Messages may also address data problems, software warnings and errors. Components with messages are highlighted with geometric shapes.

Two methods are available for reviewing component messages. This topic addresses reviewing messages directly from the selected component's dialog. For more information on reviewing multiple messages or filtering for messages from a specific application, see topic on the Review Messages utility.

To review messages at the specific component, use the [Messages] command found on the component properties dialog.

The (pink-rectangle) highlighted component on the drawing indicates that a message has been attached.  Opening the (Fuse Cutout) dialog, the [Messages] command button is found active, which only occurs when there are messages attached to that component.

Selecting the [Messages] command button opens the Messages dialog, which contains a listing of all messages that have been attached to the selected component (e.g. Fuse Cutout) and not removed.
