The Pump is used in the DEW model for establishing a specified system
operating pressure at a known location. This value
can be automatically attached from SCADA measurements or input by user
as the Current Value
on the Centrifugal Pump dialog.
Note: Flow Injectors are used in
DEW to specify known flow rate conditions, see Flow Injector component topic
for more details.
See General Dialog Details for information on common dialog fields and commands, as only the highlighted fields and commands unique to the Pump dialog (shown below) are addressed in this topic.
Current [__] - allows user input for the current system operating pressure at a known location (i.e. pump outlet) in the network. The value entered in the dialog is used when measurements are not available. If measurements (i.e. from SCADA) are available, they will override the value entered in the dialog.
Max [ ] - displays (read-only) the maximum operating pressure allowed (from database table) for the selected pump.
Z:
[___]
- this is defined to be the topographic elevation (feet above sea
level) for the represented location, i.e. at ground level. This
value is important for calculating the resulting downstream flow conditions
with the specified operating pressure.
Note: (x,y)
as typical for all dialogs.
