The PEV/PHEV Adoption Analysis setup dialog is launched from the Analysis menu's Setup for Analysis Execution dialog by selecting DER Adoption Analysis (in Analyses Available frame) and then choosing the [Edit Analysis Parameters] command.
Note: See PHEV Analysis Introduction for more information on this application.
Generate Report - sets application to create detailed report of the analysis results for run. See PHEV Analysis Sample Report
Tab Delimited - sets to Tab Delimited report format, which facilitates copying report into spreadsheet.
List Adopted Loads - sets application to show the adopted loads in the report.
Report
Non-Monitored Loc. Results - sets application to report results
where a problem is found, but the Display Results setting is Off. If
left unchecked, then application will only report results for components
having the Display Results setting On.
Assign Name - sets report generation to user-defined name and location.
Default
Name - sets report generation to use default report name and location
defined for report-type files in the General
User API Options dialog.
Non-Monitored Locs w/ Problems:
Change to Monitor - sets application to change non-monitored setting to Monitor (i.e. set Display Results flag On), in subsequent runs for locations with problems.
Month - specifies the month for analysis run.
Day - specifies the day (or day-type) used for analyzing adopted load impacts.
Random Generator
Seed - integer value between 0 (zero) and 999,999,999 used to determine the random load attachment locations. The seed allows the user to replicate scenario results when running analysis with same adoption settings. Alternatively, changing the seed value allows user to re-run the same adoption scenario on alternate sets of random attachment locations.
Adopted Loads:
Remove - sets application remove the adopted PHEV loads after run, returning system to the pre-run load configuration.
Leave - sets application leave the adopted PHEV loads after run, with the application-attached loads remaining in the active system.
Ignore LV - sets application to continue load adoptions (i.e. running), in the event of encountering a Low Voltage problem.
Stop for any LV - sets application to stop adopting loads after encountering a Low Voltage problem, i.e. execution will not proceed to following projection years.
Stop for Only any of:
LV on Primary - sets application to stop adopting loads after encountering a Low Voltage problem on primary side of circuit.
LV
on [__]% of Cust - sets application to stop adopting loads after
encountering Low Voltage problems
on specified percentage of customers.
LV Limit:
Default (95.00%) - sets application to use the default definition (e.g. 95% of nominal voltage) as low limit criteria for establishing a Low Voltage problem.
Custom [__]% - sets application to use the custom value (input percentage of nominal voltage) as low limit criteria for establishing a Low Voltage problem.
Ignore OL - sets application to continue load adoptions (i.e. running), in the event of encountering an Overload condition.
Stop for any OL - sets application to stop adopting loads after encountering an Overload condition, i.e. execution will not proceed to following projection years.
Stop for Only any of:
OL on Primary - sets application to stop adopting loads after encountering an Overload condition on primary side of circuit.
OL
on [__]% of Dist. TRs - sets application to stop adopting loads
after encountering Overload conditions
on specified percentage of Distribution Transformers.
Adopting Load -
Class - list box containing available selections for customer classes in current system that are candidates for adopted loads.
Adopted Load -
Class - list box containing available selections for special load classes that can be adopted by regular Customer-Class loads. Note: See PHEV Charge Profiles for more information on PHV load classes.
Num/Cus - number of corresponding special class loads to be adopted by each assigned Customer-Class load.
Turn-on Pattern - defines the power-on pattern for adopted loads. If "None", then database-defined pattern will be used.
From [__] - when applicable (i.e. only for "OverFrom? To?" pattern), defines the beginning hour of range for adopted loads coming online.
To [__] - when applicable, defines the ending hour of range for adopted loads coming online.
% Adoption -
Starting - defines percentage of regular Customer-Class loads that will initially adopt the special load class during current year of analysis.
Incr/Yr - defines percentage of regular Customer-Class loads that will adopt the special load class during each subsequent projection year of analysis.
[Add>>] - command to add the specified adoption scenario to the List of Adoption Assignments that will be used for the analysis.
List
of Adoption Assignments -
display window showing the current adoption scenarios that will be considered
for the analysis.
[Delete Selection] - command to delete the Selected scenario from the adoption assignments for analysis.
[Delete All] - command to delete All currently defined scenarios from the adoption assignments for analysis.
Project for [Years__] - defines that number of subsequent years (beyond current/initial year) that specified adoption assignments will occur.
Note: For "Year 0" selection, analysis occurs only for the current year using the Starting% Adoption rate.
