The Phase Prediction setup dialog is launched from the Analysis menu's Setup for Analysis Execution dialog by selecting Phase Prediction (in Analyses Available frame) and then choosing the [Edit Analysis Parameters] command.
Generate a Report - When selected, application generates an ASCII output report
Assign Report Name - allows user to specify the file name and destination path for the report. Note: Use this option to avoid overwriting previous reports.
Default Report Name - application automatically assigns the default report name (i.e. PhaseBalance.rep) and overwrites any previous versions in the default destination (e.g. DEW Reports) folder.
Predict - runs application in Predict Mode, where laterals with unknown* phasing are analyzed to predict phase configurations based on minimized deviation accumulation between measurement data and load estimation results for applicable power flow.
Test - runs a simulated analysis assuming all laterals have unknown phasing and then compares phase predictions with the known values.
|
Note! |
To define laterals phasing as known,
the user sets
the Lock Cmp
flag on the component's properties dialog. If Lock Cmp flag is
not set, then application considers
phasing to be unknown.
|
kW - sets application to use Real Power measurements in calculations.
kVAR - sets application to use Reactive Power measurements in calculations.
Notes on Measurements:
User may select either or both (kW & kVAR) power measurements be used in the run.
Applicable power measurements for each phase must be defined at start of circuit for this application.
Interior measurements
may be used to supplement start of circuit data and do not
need to be captured at the same time points.
Use Internal Measurements - sets application to utilize available interior measurements (in addition to start of circuit data) when running analysis.
Max Iter [__] - defines the maximum number of iterations allowed for the prediction algorithm.
Show Plots - sets application to display the characteristic predictive algorithm plot showing the cumulative phase deviation per iteration.
Set Tabu Tenures
Auto - Tabu Tenures for algorithm are automatically set based on characteristic calculation for applicable measurement point parameters.
Manual [__] - Tabu Tenures are manually set
to user-defined value.
Note: See Introduction to Phase Prediction for more details on algorithm and related parameters settings.
All Available Measurements - sets application to include all available (selected) measurements, without regard to associated time point.
Only Measurements Taken at Selected Time Points - sets application to use only measurements available for specific time points selected for analysis.

General functionality for common windows commands and features found on dialogs include: Display Window - When applicable, this read-only window typically appears just above the command button set and displays descriptive messages related to the last menu selection. [OK] - Command button to accept current selections as user input and exit dialog. [Cancel] - Command button that exits dialog and does not incorporate any changes made since last opened. [Reset] - Command button that immediately returns all items on the menu to their default settings. [Help] - Command button that launches Help application. [About] - Command button that displays version, copyright and proprietary information. |
