The Component Immittance Setup dialog can be launched from the Analysis menu's Setup for Analysis Execution dialog by selecting Component Immittance (in the Analyses Available frame) and then choosing the [Edit Analysis Parameters] command.
Force Balanced Values - setting enables application to create an impedance matrix with all diagonal elements equal and all off-diagonal elements equal. The balanced impedance, diagonal, and off-diagonal elements are determined from averages of their original values. Setting is used to evaluate the effects of unbalanced impedances.
Don't Calculate Admittances - setting directs application to neglect the shunt capacitance for lines and cables during calculations.
Neglect
Mutual Terms - setting directs application to set all off-diagonal
elements in the impedance matrix to zero, which helps determine the effects
of mutual coupling.
Harmonic Number
- defines the integer multiple of frequency to be used in the impedance
calculations. For example, enter 1 for 60 Hz, 2
for 120 Hz, etc. Variation helps evaluate the effects
of harmonics on system impedance.
Ambient Temperature:
Disable Dependency - directs application to neglect applicable temperature dependency during calculations.
Use Database Value [__] - uses applicable ambient temperature stored in database for selected time of analysis.
Use Custom Value [__] - user specifies desired ambient temperature to be used in analysis.
View Component Results - allows user to interactively view application results for selected components individually.

General functionality for common windows commands and features found on dialogs include: Display Window - When applicable, this read-only window typically appears just above the command button set and displays descriptive messages related to the last menu selection. [OK] - Command button to accept current selections as user input and exit dialog. [Cancel] - Command button that exits dialog and does not incorporate any changes made since last opened. [Reset] - Command button that immediately returns all items on the menu to their default settings. [Help] - Command button that launches Help application. [About] - Command button that displays version, copyright and proprietary information. |
