Overview of DEW and the Integrated System Model
The DEW Software package hosts an Integrated System Model, which allows clients to build large, complex models with advanced features unavailable in any other product. The software is structured into a suite of core application modules and optional extensions. Core modules, which are included in every installation, allow users to construct a fully functional integrated system model and run basic analysis applications. The extension modules add more specialized analysis packages, developed to meet specific customer needs and areas of interest.

All commonly offered analytical tools are included, as well as many tools for enhancing the smart grid that cannot be found elsewhere.
